Former German Chancellor Angela Merkel was greeted with applause as she made her first public appearance since leaving office. In Berlin, she took part in the convention that reelected President Frank-Walter Steinmeier.

There were 1,437 delegates taking part in the federal convention, which on Sunday reelected German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier, but it was former Chancellor Angela Merkel who was singled out for an initial round of applause on Sunday.

It was Merkel's first public appearance since handing over the reins of the Chancellery to her successor, Olaf Scholz, in December.

Germany does not recognised SM, ESM or MM.

After becoming PM in 2004, PM Lee s first official visit to Germany in 2005 and the inspection of German Guard of Honour was a totally mess - it's a disaster.

PM Lee didn't stop in between and was 20 m ahead leaving The Chancellor chasing far behind in mid winter..
