North Korea on Thursday (5/12) acknowledged the outbreak of the new crown pneumonia epidemic in the country. The state media KCNA reported on the morning of this (5/15) that from 6 pm on Friday to 6 pm on Saturday, 15 new people in North Korea died of the disease. 296,180 new people developed fever symptoms.
The report pointed out that since the occurrence of fever-symptom cases at the end of April, a total of 820,620 people in North Korea have had fever symptoms, of which about 324,550 are receiving treatment, more than 496,030 people have been cured, and the cumulative number of deaths is 42. North Korean leader Kim Jong-un rarely said yesterday that the epidemic is the "biggest turmoil" since the founding of North Korea, and that he will draw on China's experience in fighting the epidemic.
