He told me Perth is full of Singaporeans who migrated to Australia. In fact many are ex SAF regulars who finish their service and took their family there or retired civil servants...

I ask him what so nice about Perth ...chicken rice send satay all much more expensive than Singapore. Poor public transport. Harder to get jobs. So what so good.?

Sydney, Australia – Australia’s Labor party leader has claimed victory in the national election after Prime Minister Scott Morrison conceded defeat even as the votes are still being counted, ending nearly a decade of conservative government.

“The Australian people have voted for change. I am humbled by this victory,” Labor leader Anthony Albanese told his supporters in Sydney on Saturday after leading his party to victory following nine years in opposition.

“I think people have had enough of division, what they want is to come together as a nation and I intend to lead that,” Albanese said earlier in the day.
Count on Sunday afternoon, Labor had won 72 seats just four short of the half-way mark required to form a majority government in the 151-seat lower house.

Australia's Prime Minister-Anthony Albanese

Is a politician molded by his humble start to life as the only child of a single mother who raised him on a pension in gritty inner-Sydney suburbia. He is also a hero of multicultural Australia, describing himself as the only candidate with a "non-Anglo Celtic name" to run for prime minister.

Not only SGreans, there are also large communities of Vietnamese, ex-M'sian, Indo, and yes friom China.

In any case, Aussie change their gov and PM more often than changing funiture. That's why to Aussie, they don't care who the FK is voted in Canberra as long as each comminiites interests are not targeted or pick- on...like Morrison gov had been attitude towards the Chinese.. Now Ausse economy is not longer like it used to now.

Is 1 AUD = 1 SGD now ?
