1. The PAP has to be seen as trying to narrow income gap...but they know it will never happen with their imports of foreign labor and low tax regime.
2. Income gap will get higher and higher over the long term.
3. The PAP soften the pain by implementing workfare, cpf topups, Pioneer gen package etc. Near election so they can get the votes.
4. Reality is eventually it will break. The people are nog perpetually stupid and blind.

Not say I like LKY so much, just that he is indeed knows what to do , what cannot do.

The govt should focus on organic growth rather than depend on 'steroid' stimulated one such as letting in large number of wealthy immigrants. The latter is only a short term solution which will ultimately break our society. Just look at HK.
