By and large,  if you choose fish or beef items, can expect the prices to be heightened. 

Rice at 80 c is surely on the high side.
Some charge at only 50c.

Yep!

The hawker center char- siew farn was $4 now $4.50

Beside it is a Coffee Shop also selling char- siew farn was $4.50 now $5.30

If increased price I can still understand. But what I don't like is some sellers conveniently charged you more just because most people won't question the price. These scammers hope that they can get away with this but they don't know that some will never patronise them again.

So expensive!  I know one popular stall that’s with 1 meat 3 vegetables only $2.80

They go for bulk and the crowds support them
