They constantly swim over & check then hide far away until I remove the dead body.
Fishes are smart.
Their kaki will try to wake up the dying fish.

Very true, once one of the guppies was motionless, other guppies quickly came over tap on her, she woke up, actually she was just sleeping, not dying.
I notice fish don’t need air
If no air filter they live longer
Deep sea or long Kang also no oxygen still they can survive
