With false ceiling, it looks nicer. Without it, the ceiling is higher and more airy.

false ceilings at the sides are better

False celing using timber structure with plastering is much stable than all these fragile aluminum thin frame.

Hdb ceiling is low. 
Having false ceiling in the bedroom is dangerous. 
cornice ceiling is more appropriate for bedrooms.
