In the 1970s, ang mohs were paid ang moh salaries but those appeared super duper good to us because Singapore was third-second world. We earned the salary which were right for a third-second world, the amdk earned what was right in their world.
Then, we developed and became affluent, our wages went up by leaps and bounds.
The gap between our salaries and amdk salaries closed. We say, they are earning local pay.
So, inflation impacts them as it impacts us, equally.
