What caused the surge in power consumption?

State-run Taiwan Power Co (Taipower, 台電) yesterday said that the nation’s peak-hour electricity consumption this summer might exceed 40 gigawatts (GW) due to industrial use and high temperatures.

Industrial use is mainly referring to the semiconductor industry.

Another reason:

The rise in coal prices has reduced local cogeneration companies’ profits and made them less willing to sell power to local corporate customers, causing those customers to instead purchase electricity from Taipower, raising overall demand
cannot b industrial
must be heatstrokes
climate lockdowns need to channel water vapors to targetted.
no solution

What drives their turbines?

And from where?
Very simple. Just banned aircon especially in Singapore.
Oh NO … they gonna blame Fatty Xi's PRC liow
The summer is here in Taiwan. For the past one over week Taipei sees a lot of rain fall. But come next week they believed that the surge in power consumption will rise. Due to the hot weather many will turn on the air conditioning.

While in the south Kaohsiung has seen power shortage or failure in the past one week, as the weather though it reported to be in the 32-33 °C region. Many felt like 40°C. With the huge domestic consumptions as well as the industrial park continuous usage, had somewhat drive the power supply to be overheated.

Right now the Taiwanese media is now talking about this shortage of power supply…it’s due to DPP poor management with the supply.
don't u dare blame aircon use for Sinkapor after u release male mosquitoes
