COE supply to reduce by 11.5% for Aug-Oct period under new calculation method
SINGAPORE – The Certificate of Entitlement (COE) supply for the period of August to October 2022 will be cut by 11.5 per cent under a new counting method.

In a press release on Friday (22 July), the Land Transport Authority (LTA) said that this works out to 10,581 COEs, which translates to a monthly quota of 3,526 COEs for all categories combined.

Time to scrap COE bidding system.
Now only the rich can buy car.

Replace by balloting system with clear rules, just like what we see only in P1 registration.
Otherwise cost of living will never come down. Dont let the greed to keep screwing us out.

The balloted COE will have an expiry date of 3 months. Each balloted COE needs to pay a premium base on 10% last 5 years average household income.
The COE will cap at $100k.

Those who balloted the COE but never buy the car, their deposit will be forfeited. The COE deposit will set at $5K first. If the issue becomes serious the deposit can increase to $10k.

You can also allow the transferable of COE if the buyer has decided not to buy the Car. He can sell it at a fixed rate of $3k for $5K deposit or $6K for 10k deposit

wtfish,, motor cycle is worse than car, COE is more than the value of the bike. they know ppl need bike to work,
like grab food and food panda.
