SCHENECTADY - General Electric Co. lost a patent infringement case against Siemens Gamesa last month over its new and highly acclaimed Haliade-X offshore wind turbine.
The case, which was argued in U.S. federal court in Boston, was a legal battle between two of the world's largest wind turbine manufacturers.
Now, Siemens Gamesa is seeking a court order blocking GE from selling the Haliade-X in the U.S., a move that GE says could jeopardize several offshore wind farm projects in the U.S. that GE is supplying with the Haliade-X.
