SLS 4 core-stage engines are Made-in-the-1980s RS-25 engines which were used in now defunct Space Shuttles.

SLS's two solid stage boosters (SRB) were also designed and used in the 80s for Space Shuttle.

All above are intended to save co$t while making SLS as safe and as reliable as possible...

Why this happen ?
