1. In Israel now you are only considered vaccinated if you have your 3rd shot. Why? Because the vaccine loses 80% of effectiveness in 6 months.

2. By allowing cases to ride relaxing restrictions, the infection rise will be too high when the vaccine loses effectiveness endangering many. The vaccine was given to elderly first so they will become least protected compare with those vaccinated later.

3. In Israel which vaccinated many early on death and infection is surging and they cannot roll out boosters fast enough. We are just walking into same mistake.

The performance of the govt and task force is very poor. A few months back Singaporeans urged them to stop flights from India when the Delta variant was discovered. They refused and Delta spread to Singapore causing so many problems. It could have  been prevented if they simply stop flights from India.

Now they are making a crucial  error with this "living with covid" thing

Issue is SG was in a bind after delta entered in April (can blame whoever for it).

SG then entered P2HA...However even at the end of P2HA, unlinked cases remained steady but unable to reach zero. Implies prolonging P2HA will be not eradicate delta. Exit P2HA and logically cases will rise exponentially.
Look at AU and NZ. After the HARD HARD lockdown, unlinked delta still lurks. Massive surge in AU's case.
China is exception, seems controlled delta by massive scale of testing and strongly restrict population's movement. Doubt Singapore has the resources to achieve same. Not prudent to over-estimate Singapore's ability to kill delta to zero.

So on balance, it is right action to accelerate and vaccinate as much as possible to minimize ICU and deaths.
And would you say that SG has eased massively? Thought the easing was rather limited thus far. Substantial restrictions are still in place. Issue is delta r0 too high.

What would you recommend as a better course of action, after delta entered in April ??

I think "live with Covid" is a ploy by pharmacy companies to make everyone in the world dependent on their screw-up vaccines like drugs with six monthly jabs and we walked into their ploy.......

Yes, if mRNA doesn't work, we have no plan B. Bet everything on mRNA. Only gambler do that.

We should consider mixing vaccines. 4G hear that? Don’t tee kee and decimate the entire sg population going forward

These other problems probably cause by high stress environment in Singapore system.

Certain vaccines wane within 6 months and
Reduced immunity and effectiveness against Delta variants

Not right to use TW to illustrate vaccines lah..
Inactivated vaccine usage % in SG may be higher than TOTAL TW double vaccinated ? just kidding... Fact is TW only 4% full vaccinated.

Can watch TW now that a few more delta cases found in TW. (in June they had 1xdelta in Pingtung but was put out fortunately)

But SG cannot close borders forever, we got no resources, need FTs to invest SG thus build economy, this is the lazy way to boost ecoenmy because our birthrate damn poor, gov oredi gave up breeding true blue Singaporeans.....we are doomed in either ways.
