Quote:Mr Singh proposed adding an additional clause to the amendment: “(f) calls on the Government to proactively release information on jobs and employment prospects of Singaporeans and the costs and benefits of free trade agreements and foreign worker policies, with a view to formulating better policies to ensure Singaporeans secure good jobs in Singapore and are not disadvantaged when seeking employment.”

Yes, the pap rejected the above to give more information.

How do you expect people to know when you refuse to give information that scholars can use for research and analysis.

Without complete data, they want to make conclusions.
Never trust what MOM claim every single time they so call claim Employment rate improve or even not good
come Datas.

Why? because all these civil servants inside just pass time daily, doing work ready on the dot 6pm go back home , Friday best , so call family bonding come weekend , early knock off by 30mins early.

WP can set up a national unemployment registry to collect data.

do you think PAP will give opposition data to attack PAP ?

Current oppositions in parliament are mediocre.
They need to depend on govt data.
When govt refuses to give data, the oppositions are stucked.

The oppositions can collect their own job or unemployment data.
They can use these real data to attack PAP.
They just need to set up website for citizens to register or volunteer their unemployment status.
They can also get private company to conduct unemployment survey with real data.

let me give an example.

when student union asks university for student data and the university refuses to give data.
the student union will do survey and interview to get ground data.
based on the ground data, they ask the university to take action because the data are real with student volunteered particulars.

What you are saying is wrong because companies are only legally required to file employment data with the govt there is no legal requirement for then to give this data to the opposition party.

Company data can only get from the govt.

Opposition can collect unemployed Singaporean data by survey or interview or website registry.

Mr Leong is talking about the impact of CECA on PMETs.
He can collect data from PMETs.

Whatever effort the opposition spends to collect this data they govt will just say it is not accurate.

Oppositions can pass the real data with particulars to the govt and ask the govt to help them.
oppositions can monitor the progress of govt help

Oppositions can contribute by providing real help to real singaporeans.

what is the point of having govt data but you do not know who to help

the opposition has to think how PAP will react in the worst case.
in the end, the opposition must end up helping real singaporeans with particluars.

most of time, opposition debate on real issue but the affected singaporeans receive no help

Are we talking about collection data or helping people?

Opposition is already doing that through MPS to write letters on behalf of residents.

opposition can collect data on 10,000 PMETs affected by CECA and ask PAP to help them.

MPS is individual help.
Collect data is national help for all PMETs affected by CECA regardless of GRC/SMC
PSP is a much safer party than the turban parry ...pls do not gamble away with the latter already infiltraded by at least 2 extremists with ultimate intention of chopping the heads of gays, homo, LGPT n stone them to death...ultimstely all the women have to stay at home to satisfy their husbands ..

Still so blur blur stupid to sarport them to get yrself chopped off.
