Lols,, no eye see.
The point is why is it so useless as a military weapon?

How to fight in a war?

.
The thing is who got right of way and what the Admiralty Law of the Sea says about collision between man-o-war and merchant ships?
In normal ship collision, it was always both party negligence and judgement was based on who was more negligent. ... Rolleyes

.

Beg to say you have got the wrong message.

The strong message here is not about how the submarine got damaged more when it hit the commercial bulk carrier.  In the first instance,  the submarines are never designed to hit a bulk carrier.  In the second instance,  it was designed and supposed to surface when there was a danger of collision.

The strong message here is about how the youtubers are relentlessly spreading fake news to earn money and how forumers are referring to the fake news as their bible.

Xinhua reports is correct - It was the Jap AIP sub that surfaced from underwater and some how ran into a passing Chinese-owned commercial ship Ocean Artemis in Feb 2021.

The Chinese media opinioned 2 possibilities that could have led to this: Either the Jap sub equipment sensor wasn't working or the sub crew lack training or professionalism.

Other media also reported the sub crew was forced to use a mobile phone to contact their base for help as sub's comm equipment, along with many systems like the periscope and hydroplane were severely damaged during collision with the HK-registered bulk carrier. Not sure why the Jap crew didn't seek help from Chinese-owned ship.

Result from bottoms-up contact between a 2,900 ton sub vs a 51,000 ton bulk carrier.

Jap media reported it was the sub crew that has failed to follow surfacing SOP.
The sad fact is sub accident isn't new - In 2001, a surfacing US sub collided with a Jap fishing boat which sank with 9 fatalities.

"...The Maritime Self-Defense Force submarine Soryu's failure to detect a cargo ship in time to avoid slamming into it while surfacing was likely due to the crew not checking a blind spot in its sonar, investigative sources said. The Hong-Kong registered commercial vessel was approaching just behind the Soryu on Feb. 8 when the sub surfaced. The submarine’s sonar has difficulty detecting vessels that are behind it."

Submarine is not so much about whether it is designed for knocking.

It is a sophisticated machine with good radar to sense the surrounding and to hit a aircraft carrier at say, 100 or 200 km away and to destroy it.

The point is "is it achieving that"? Why a huge commercial ship can't be detected at a peaceful time, not in war time?

Japan can find an excuse to cover the problem but it is a glaring problem.

.
Is a commercial ship.
That's the biggest joke.
And you want them to pay?
Submarine Langar ship,
Submarine badly damage
Whose fault?
Just have to say its lousy Jap stuff.
