The US is very easy. Their $$$ can exchange for a lot of currencies all over the world. Most of them find it cheaper to travel.

For Singapore, we have to factor in double currency exchanges. The answer is simply because USD is the trading currency while SGD is not.

SIA's fuel and main costs are in USD.
