According to diplomatic sources quoted in both French and Swiss media, Paris is accusing the Swiss Department of Defense of having engaged in “continued negotiations to buy the French Rafale when the decision to buy American planes was already taken.”

To be fair to Oz the original submarine deal with Frenchy was more than several years ago at two digit billion dollars, but with delays after delays the subs still not delivered and not in the horizon yet the price tag went to three digit billions?

Within the same time frame China advanced too fast in technology and numbers militarily land air sea including top notch Chinese built nuclear submarines?

By the time Oz gets the Frenchy subs it is likely near obsolete stuff at tomorrow's prices?

Oz couldn't wait similarly China cannot wait?
