Bottom line
PAP being gods is ALWAYS right
HDB can offer those affected by SER a replacement new flat equivalent lease tenure of their current stay. Compensate them the shifting n renovation cost will do. So all need not top up n be happy.
I'm seeing a trend in which old land that used to be occupied by HDB flats next to MRT stations being replaced by condos. E.g. in Queenstown, Redhill. The residents are not stupid to see why SERs are happening.

MND wants to unlock the value of the prime land that the old HDB flats sit on, fine but pay fair compensation. If not, don't disturb people's lives.
MND just need to compensate 3 areas; $200/ mth for public transport, ensure new location is better with more Amenities like Supermarket, CC, banks etc and lastly, full renovation.
