Malaysia King has since given them a deadline to make a decision: by tomorrow (21 November), before 2pm.

The Comptroller of the Royal Household, Ahmad Fadil Shamsuddin, said it was clear that no political party has successfully obtained a simple majority to form a new govt, the  Speaker of the Lower House of Parliament Azhar Harun will get the  heads of political parties and coalitions to negotiate among themselves to form a govt and submit the names of candidates the parties believed can command a parliamentary majority—though we all know the party leaders would’ve already started negotiations before the Speaker could send an email.

Both PN and PH are looking to get the winning political parties, and Clapping  Sarawak have spoken.

After a thrashing at the polls yesterday, BN has found itself in a kingmaker position. And cracks are emerging within the party over whom they should support to form the next government.

Earlier today, Perikatan Nasional leader Muhyiddin Yassin received an overt endorsement from Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS).

Collectively, PN and GPS have 95 seats - 16 short of the 111 needed for a majority.

Abang Johari said. He noted that no political party or coalition has the majority number of parliamentary seats to form the federal government after the conclusion of the 15th general election yesterday.

He said that the country and the world are presently facing an economic crisis and this situation is expected to be more challenging next year.

Asked on who will be the next prime minister, Abang Johari said it will be decided by the Yang di-Pertuan Agong based on the majority support of the Members of Parliament.

“In our case, our choice is Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin,” he said.

He said there is no formal signing of any agreement by PN, BN, GRS and GPS to form the federal government.

Asked if Pakatan Harapan (PH) chairman Datuk Seri Anwar had wanted to see him, he replied: "Everybody wanted to see me. Honestly. And he was one of them.” He said Anwar did not see him this morning.

“It is true that he sent me messages and so on....you know when we are beautiful,” he said in jest.

Abang Johari said there were no other representatives from BN or GRS when he met with Muhyiddin this morning. I only came to talk about GPS matters with him only,” he said.

He said any federal ministerial posts for GPS will come later, saying that he is more concerned with the interest of the people.

“For GPS our main priority is the state and people.
