but shopee very kind to confirm her probation then let her go
in this way
it is easy for her to get a job

In these times, passing the probation is no guarantee to keep the job.... crying
She's young no problem lah.
At least she got one year under her belt. 2-4 weeks of salary as retrenchment compensation.
No need to worry for her. The Govt has done well to protect youngsters from employment pass entering our job market in this group.

The Employment Act states that if you’ve been employed for at least two years, you are eligible for retrenchment benefits. However, the Act does not state that you must be compensated.


In other words, if you have worked for the company for over two years and have a fixed retrenchment package stipulated in your contract (or the union’s collective agreement with the company), then yes, the employer must pay you the agreed benefit.
