I once learned something profound from what Heng Swee Keat said in parliament as finance minister.

He said we cannot increase the progressive tax for the rich and high income because they will just leave for other countries.

In my mind i was thinking we probably build a society every man for himself. People come and go depending on good and bad tines.

Thats how our society evolve begins...sad
