Nobody will say Microsoft is a bad company.
But a good company does not mean stock goes up in one direction. It is common for even the best stocks to drop 50 to 60% even though long term trend is upwards.
Investors are often unprepared for bad markets get completely discouraged when they see investments falling.
While companies don't last forever, Microsoft has a huge moat and has a good chance to be around and creating value 10yrs from now 20yrs from now...but it is never guaranteed ...neither are the returns predictable in anyway
