They are cheap labour lah, many want to get US green cards, that is why they went to the U.S.

They can slowly occupy focus on one state and built up own people .
Pay 3 times more money to transfer equipment and technology before receiving the subsidies.
This is the Assmerica dream they are dying for

How many TW engineers does one need in the US to "built up own pple" when the salary is easily over 3 times more and their Workers Union can decide to strike anytime against the TSMC manager over their rights and entitltment

All this is done not because TSMC wants to invest in the US, but because Washington passed laws to force you to transfer tech and talent to them.

This is like Day Light Robbery against the basic norms of any trade deal sense Rolleyes
