Quote:SINGAPORE – China’s purchases of machines to make computer chips contracted in November to their lowest level in more than two years, hammered by cratering electronics demand and new US export restrictions that are limiting the ability of Chinese firms to buy the most advanced equipment.

Chinese companies imported US$2.3 billion (S$3.1 billion) worth of machines used in semiconductor manufacturing in November, down by more than 40 per cent from a year earlier to the lowest level since May 2020, according to Customs data released on Wednesday.

China’s chip imports see biggest drop in 2022 with accelerated decline in October amid US restrictions and weak demand

China’s chip imports were down 13.2 per cent from January to October, accelerating from the decline in the first nine months
China’s chip exports were also down as the country grapples with fresh US restrictions and the semiconductor industry faces a slump

Ban of sale by US of course will cause drop in sale by US and increase in sale by Chinese firms.

See the report below about increased sale of chips by Chinese firms.

Where did you get the article from.............? Clapping
ROC is going to be in trouble.
20% ROC GDP comes from semicon Industry.
TSMC shifted their high end chip to US is the beginning of fall of TSMC.

Just ask this simple question, why did the founder Morris Chang of TSMC left US and return to ROC?  Rotfl
就是混不下去lah!

The current fabrication of the chip in US will be 50% higher than its competitors. How to compete? 准备亏到siao.

从零变一比较容易,从一变成百万,千万是不简单的任务。

This is like a boomerang. Taiwan wants to hit China semi-con supply, ends up affecting their own economy.
