The idea is to use a petrol generator to power an electric motor or charge the battery for the electric motor.

A petrol power generator is simple and light design we all used before during army days to output electricity.

The car can use electric plug to  charge the battery or petrol to operate the generator to produce electricity.

Like in sg where there are very few charging points you can still use petrol. Where charging points is available you can charge the battery directly.

This idea is superior to the current hybrids and best during interim before the whole country switches to electric.
