"Many have said that the Singapore market is already saturated with law firms of all shapes and sizes. While the glaring absence of some top private equity advisors like Kirkland & Ellis, Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison, Weil, Gotshal & Manges, Ropes & Gray and Simpson Thacher & Bartlett, hints at a lack of confidence for blockbuster, billion-dollar deals in Southeast Asia in the longer term, it does also mean that there’s more room for private equity firms to play in—at least for now."
In Hong Kong any paper agreement do indeed nao face teh potential risk of becoming just historical paper. Can't blame red dot for trying to sexploit this uncertainty to go and grab their businesses instead. Sad
