me failed to understand what bak kwa got to do with the CNY.
Don't eat this item during CNY life will still be the same.
Bak kwa sellers boom every CNY....just once enough a year to let them live comfortably for many years.
why eat

Don't buy bak kwa during CNY. I bought 600g bak kwa for $11 during 11.11. Have been storing it in fridge, and eating it after microwave. Doesn't taste much difference from two months ago.
Can actually keep for months when frozen.
