To debate properly and fruitfully in the parliament needs to have demeanour （风度) and selfless compassion for the people. Something that is very lacking in the current crop of MPs.

If it is not his major area of work or understanding, then better not to act smart. This is really embarrass. Obviously, the Oppositions hv done lots of prepared homework before putting up the debate. If brand new flats prices keeps surging upwards, obviously the subsidies must also increase in tandem.

All these crops of MPs argue for the sake of arguing just becos of their party whip. Really hopeless.
At least when Murali got his data wrong he sort of corrected it, but this Xie insisted on his line of argument and that of WP's. Can write him off.
