SINGAPORE - Some websites here are back in service, after experiencing disruptions to their Web services on Wednesday as a result of the Microsoft Azure cloud service’s outage.
A check by The Straits Times on Thursday morning found that EZ-Link and CPF’s websites are accessible.
CPF’s website advised users to use its mobile app if they have difficulties accessing its website’s digital services.
However, NTU and the Esplanade’s websites are still inaccessible as of Thursday morning.

Microsoft Azure said on its website that a utility power surge in the South-east Asia region at 3.19am on Wednesday had tripped a subset of the cooling units in a data centre and brought them offline.

At 9.36pm, Microsoft Azure said that cooling systems in the impacted areas of the data centre were successfully restored and that temperatures had returned to normal operating thresholds.
