They don’t base on 3 meals a day lah.
You have to starve for 1 meal lah.

Our CPF retirement sum of $350 is a joke.
Could the ministar survive with $350 per mth?

Already said donkey times, CPF cant retire happily. Time to stop allowing using all the CPF $$$ to buy house.

No lah, my side 4 dishes also don't hit $5 (for example: meat, fish, veg + egg). But of course, it also depends on the dish. If always choose the expensive dishes (usually 2 or 3 of these will be there for choosing), then over $5 is normal.

We don't have a habit to eat five meals including teabreak and supper.

In days when we were poor, we used to say "Eat three meals also no full".......that's a popular Chinese saying to refer to how little food we had, the hunger, the lack of food to go around.

The rationale for CPFLife had been explained clearly by PM Lee.

Either you don't have an ability to remember things well...which is possible since the 39% are not known to be abundantly intelligent...or you are just pretending to be stupid. I will generously assume you are the latter.

By starting CPFLife, we averted a potential social problem  Even under the old CPF scheme where you take your CPF back over 20 years, we already prevented the high possibility of people frittering away their money if you allow them to take out the whole lump sum at the age of 55.  Maybe you are a person who is careful with your money but you cannot assume that others are like you. Singaporeans are no SAINTS. 

And if a large number of people, just 10K, "donate" their money to vietbus and atbs or the casinos, the government can do one of these:

1.  Ignore the crime rate, as these people resort to thefts when they are broke
2.  Arrest them and lock them up, again and again, and feed them with taxpayers' (your) money
3.  Prevent them from resorting to crime by simply giving them money (your money) now that they have lost all their CPF savings to a vietby or atb...or some scams,

Which do you want the government to do?
