When I buy frozen fish and meat from supermarkets, I observe that the expiry date is only 2 days away from production date. So short. If after I buy back, I immediately put inside freezer. Can the frozen fish and meat last longer?

This 2 days expiry date is meant for putting the fish/meat in room temperature? Under what conditions does this 2 days expiry apply?
Frozen food can generally last for two years if frozen continuously, not that I recommend it.
According to the USDA, frozen foods will keep indefinitely if stored in an airtight package at a constant temperature at or below zero degrees Fahrenheit. Freezing fish does not decrease its nutritional value. Freezer burn may dry the fish out in spots, but it is still safe to eat.
