This is the main reason why Sg no need so many degree holders. If you have a degree in Sg, more easy to migrate to elsewhere. Dont go and believe not everyone is suitable to study in Uni.

The absence of dual citizenship for SG is not a reason nor barrier for overseas Singaporeans to come back and take care of their elderly parents.

If uprooted, can give up pr but difficult to come back. Many issues like housing, jobs, education, ns and etc
As long as kid rich enough to get me old folks home with nice nurses or own home with nice caretakers to help me can already.

I heard someone put a maid with his father in a three room flat. He told the maid to call him if anything and only come back once a month.
Long term solution is still having own children or grandchildren around.....time for govt to get ex-singaporeans to come back with their children to look after their parents.....imagine 1/3 emigrate leaving their elderly parents behind....does the govt have resources to look after these abandon elderly?
