This alone is the justification as to why our ministers have to be paid higher than politicians from around the world. Only top brass gets to retire, the commoners work till death.

Those retirees that require a million dollars to survive are those who have a house mortgage to pay, a new  car, and eat at atas restaurants.........

me remember got 1 PAP MP claim if every citizen pay PM $1, PM's pay should be $4M per annual.

Sg should not be  a place for foreigners to come and retire. 

We need young, intelligent, diligent  people to help Sg move forward!  

You can't retire in China because there is no way to get citizenship or long term visa there unless you marry a citizen of China.

Hence, it's meaningless to talk about cost of retiring in China!

Asmericans should stop hallucinating about retiring in China!

ABSOLUTELY RIGHT TO THE DOT

Actually, if you a foreigner get to live in Sg, with 1.1 million, he or she can use the money buy a small condo and rent out one room. Rental income is sufficient for his or her daily expenditure. But medical cost is a big problem!
