Reminds me of the 1970s of HK and the 1990s of China when the authorities go after street hawkers.

Cannot remember if Singapore did the same although they did 'force' hawkers into hawker centres back in the 1970s.

Yeah. But HK police have been doing that since the 1970s. Less nowadays as less street hawkers.
