Britain slumps in the rankings even as other countries’ scores rebound after the pandemic
Nine in ten Chinese claim they are satisfied with all aspects of their life according to a global survey

Chinese people are the happiest in the world, with nine in ten claiming in a global survey that they are satisfied with all aspects of their life including relationships, work and politics.
An online Ipsos survey found that 91 percent of Chinese respondents said they were happy, the highest number found across 32 countries. Second was Saudi Arabia with 86 per cent, followed by the Netherlands at 85 per cent.
The survey of more than 22,500 people also found that happiness globally is growing as the world recovers from the Covid pandemic, but not in many western countries, including Britain, where there was a general dissatisfaction with everyday life.
