This could be a strong possibility, as there is no rule that say the food vendor cannot charge extra for this 'service'......

This is not their job. Where are the paid staff of civil service?
SDAs are pretty well paid.
They can suitably be deployed to do this simple job.

I think SDAs are daily paid employees, and they will be dispense off after the covid-19 blows over.....

The civil servants and those working in the higher learning Institutions, now very, very free. They should be called to help out in the control of crowds into the malls and hawker centers.
It is understood that profit is lesser and more value jobs to do also.. Stay safe
