This is to save najib from the gallow for killing altantuya and chairman of ambank.
Malaysia will have many mouths to feed in their jails. Those people facing life in jail with no prospect of ever getting out, death is probably kinder than to give them hope. Use lethal injection if people think hanging is not humane.

The amendments passed will apply to 34 offences currently punishable by death, including murder and drug trafficking. Eleven of them carry it as a mandatory punishment.

Still got 11, but Interesting there are crimes more serious than  murder.
