Just came back from Taipei after touring 4 a week. Friends here told us about this news. We never hear any such news. We met many many Singaporeans on this trip. They were all DIY their own trip, going all over Taiwan. The high Speed Train(hsr) rides were smooth, fast and efficient. We went up to Alishan. We saw lots of Cherry Blomson there. Of course, the sunrise @ 3,000 meters. Taxi and Uber were cheap and food a plenty and tasty.

The news just came out after Tsai Ing Wen returned to Taiwan on Friday afternoon.
Heard the inflation in Taiwan is also high, for food nowadays you can’t find anytthing below NT$100 anymore. Shortage of eggs pushes the egg price sky high. Frequent blackouts in different parts of Taiwan have causedthousands of households out of electricity.
It is a good time to tour Taiwan. Unless the last time. Then there were plenty of PRCs every where. We hired a private tour driver who told us it is now difficult for PRCs to come although there were restrictions. But he claimed tt his business has not been affected with more tourists from other countries like Philippines and SE Asia.

No shortage of food and eggs and power black outs when we were touring. Even high top at 3,000 above sea level. We can still get 4G signal in the forests there. A SIM card cost us only SGD 5/- for 8 days from SHOPEE
