TC zero maintenance, no need to sweep dead leaves and pruning. but these trees gives little shade/purify air as compare to "REAL" trees Gov chopped down

I am sure they have removed much more than 1 million trees. They are only planting some back.
The shade will come only 20years later.

I don't think so man, perhaps half a million is removed thus far.................... Big Grin
In the 90s they plant a lot of pong pong trees. Everywhere I go I will surely see these trees with white flowers and inedible fruits around. Now all these trees all gone make way for concrete structures.
Are we supposed to be proud of this?
