It is a good practice to enforce tray and crockery returns to the kiosk.............as this will make the hawker centre/coffee shops cleaners less work and thence employ less workers for this task........................ Big Grin

In Singapore it is a different story, if no fine is forthcoming, then chances are the trays and crockery will not be returned, we are not as social minded as in the other countries............ Big Grin

I too wonder... This fine city imagine has been there for 5 decades... Why is Singapore still pretty much the same uncouth and the way of rule is still by fear??

Hawker Center, Coffee Shop , Food court. Only these place, else is the owner to engage staff to clear for you. Remember to vote wisely , else next time we will need to wash the plate and cup liao. Either they fine you, or you fired them.

Nice, now all the SG women and foreigners can experience what SG men go through during NS at the cookhouse.

Except even the SAF cookhouses have better washing up facilities and cutlery/crockery return areas than civilian hawker centres and coffeeshops.

Meanwhile the "genius" PAP ministers and civil serpents who came up with this stupid initiative will never need to suffer the pitfalls of this policy, for they always dine in at atas restaurants where tables are cleared by the service staff there.

Put many SDO in hawkers centres so that SDO got job to do mah ...
