Fujian is very huge and there are many variations of so called"Hokkien".

Only here we use this word "Hokkien" to refer to what we are speaking

Totally  Big Grin Back early 2000s, had to travel to Taipei frequently. Very nice and chill, food good, affoardable (western and japanese ones are about same pricing as S'pore)

Minnan hua is correct. Not minnan yu.

Unlesd you wish for that region to break away and become independent, a Republic on its own, and the minna dialect to be called a language. But the human bear shan't allow it, so do not even think about it.
