Former German Chancellor Angela Merkel said that, while staying at the mail of the head of the country, she "exhausted all means" to prevent the Russian-Ukrainian conflict.
“I tried with all the means at my disposal to prevent this situation. The fact that it failed does not prove that it was wrong to try ,” Merkel argues.
She did not make predictions about the end of the conflict in Ukraine. She believes that one should “not think narrowly” and start thinking about the scenario under which peace negotiations are possible.
