total
Standard medication is statins

You can reduce chlorestrol intake jn diet and exercise but it takes time.

In the mean time if you don't lower cholesterol you risk stroke and heart attack.

Best is to consult doctor and not anyhow deal with it.

You can discuss doctor to put yourself on medication to protect yourself while you change lifestyle exercise etc.

Most people cannot maintain change in lifestyle...so go on medication.

Yes psyllium has been proven to help reduce cholesterol, same with oats. However taking too much psyllium can cause serious constipation as the fibre expands and bulks up sizeably in the digestive tract, jamming up the system. Th psyllium in metamucil has been processed b4 hence shouldn't cause dis problm if taken as instructed.
high cholesterol will lead to high bp, pls take care.
high cholesterol will cause blockage of the heart and blood veins ... thus heart attack
Rosuvastatin like crestor you take to reduce cholesterol is very expensive
$3 per pop for 10 mg and you have to take long term
