..Did temperature in May gone higher than 36.1C  recorded on 14 April 2023?

"The highest daily maximum temperature was 36.1 degrees Celsius, recorded at Woodlands on 14 April 2023."

Is there anyway to stop it?

Yes but need continuous rain for at least one whole day. Those few hours rain will only make it hotter and more humid. Like adding water in a sauna. Laughing

Try to create the world's biggest air-con in Singapore to bring temperature down from high 36 deg down to a cool 16 deg.

Someone can do it
