"Under what circumstance is it permissible to disclose an individual's personal information without their consent?

Disclosure in the public interest may be justified if failure to make the disclosure could expose others to a risk of serious harm or death. This may arise where disclosure might assist in the prevention, detection or prosecution of a serious crime"

Spell "trouble" ?

"Kwa, LKYs lawyer

1) The tribunal stopped short of asking Kwa what was her intentions of sending those 2 emails to PM Lee?

2) Did Kwa sent them without PM Lee knowledge or on his request?

3) Had Kwa any discussions with PM Lee prior before sending those 2 emails? If so, when and how many?

4) After receiving them, did she received any response? If so, what were they?

5) Did Kwa pre-warned PM Lee that breach of confidentiality without consent is a very serious offence?

6) Who is paying for her professional services?

Adding Your contributions please"
LKY after much thought decided that preserving ab old house was not a good way to represent his legacy ...his legacy is much larger ...it is the whole of Singapore and also the mark LKY left for the world

So he decided to change the will in accordance with the above. Knowing his eldest son wqs busy with the affairs of the state, called the younger kids and daughter in law to help amend the will, witness the signing etc.

Never in his mind would something so straight forward turn unto a national debacle such as the one we have seen.

However all this is self inflicted by his own eldest son who for some reason refused to accept the desire of his own dad .
PM Lee is the root cause of his own family problem.

He shouldn't be hiding behind like a turtle, and should settle his own problem without dragging the country into it. It's a waste of taxpayers money.

He promoted his personal lawyer to AGC, protect his wife salary and used the parliament
to argue the Oxley squabble what else is not permissable for him?

Unfortunately, the outcome has set a precedent on "disclosure of confidential information to a third party without consent " in future court cases in Singapore.

How to convict and dish out sentencing punishment of 2 years imprisonment?

Something cannot be explained

Her client, LKY clearly instructed Kwa to exclude PM Lee and yet, she still sent confidential inform to PM Lee. For what?

No one understand what's her motives.
Very fishy

WTFish
why they never ask her why she send to LHL ?

Her legal profession is on the line.

Suspicious that there could be collaboration involved.

With LKYs lawyer, Kwa disclosing confidential information without consent to third party, PM Lee, she has changed the whole legal landscape in Singapore.

This is bad for Singapore legal profession.
It changes nothing. Who will remember.

Hey she got off with a mere tap on the wrist Big Grin
I wonder if the same scenario played out, but the patriach is just an unknown rich old unker and not LKY, and the executor (not LHY) complained about misconduct by the lawyer (not KKL) leaking info to his elder brother (not LHL) who should not be privy to the information.  What will happen to the lawyer leh? Big Grin

Backstabbing
is she a scapegoat ?

Probably so

But with her disclosure to tribunal, she literally putting PM Lee's creditability under the microscope.

That's no good at all.

You use wordss of the zoomers, rather like a "kiddo".

For "father", I would just write "father".

Not dad.  Not mom.

My mother, not my "mom".

And I wish to remind you that LHY is an old man.  Old enough to be your erm..."dad".  Stop using the word "kid" when referring to him, can?

Finally, stop making assumptions about LKY's intention.  His chewren have different beliefs of their da...erm...father's intention whereas, you, an outsider is trying to act smart, as if you know better.  Rolleyes
A will.

Just one will...was it well or badly written...or well or badly re-re-re-...written?

It resulted in family feud, fights where even LKY's wife's niece was hauled to court and fined.

LKY did not want to be remembered by the house.

However, that house is not about him. It is about all the meetings which took place in the years before and after Separation. Goh Keng Swee, S Rajaratnam, EW Barker etc...they all met there with LKY, and their decisions taken for better or for worse is the Singapore which was passed over to Goh Chok Tong to continue the work.

That house is not about Lee Hsien Yang, Lee Hsien Loong, about Wei Ling where they had lived in their growing up years. It is about Singapore, the birthplace of modern Singapore.
