Andrei Lankov: The US is distracted - by China, the Russian war of aggression in Ukraine and by national problems. You could describe it like this: China is a cancer disease – dangerous and deadly in the long term. Russia and Ukraine are toothaches - very painful, but not life-threatening. The US doesn't have time to think about North Korea. But even if they did, they couldn't do much about the current situation.

Why a nuclear armed China that is hungry for power is dangerous? USA which is nuclear armed tyrant is extremely hungry for power and control isn't dangerous by any count?? Lol

China act in a way because USA made serious breach of agreement. Taiwan belongs to China and is recognized by UN. One China policy must be respected.

How many countries did US invade?
The iraqi war was the worse. Using lies to invade them.

China has been behaving "assertively" in the region.
Relationship has gone downhill and countries are blaming each other. China cannot say it has not choice in the way it chooses to conduct itself

You also have to look at the number of invasion USA stopped. Fighting the Japanese and Hitler in WW2. Preventing N.Korea from invading s. Korea.

Look at these 2 developed countries in Asia, SK Japan. Their military is totally controlled by American. Essentially a lapdog if you don't control army.
Why didn't they leave now? For charity ?
