stable..did not increase.,,under control already...next step is to reduce

SINGAPORE: Singapore reported 3,637 new COVID-19 cases as of noon on Friday (Oct 22) and 14 more deaths from complications due to the virus.
The fatalities are seven men and seven women. They include a 41-year-old person who was vaccinated against COVID-19, but was immunocompromised and had severe underlying lung disease, said the Ministry of Health (MOH).
The other 13 people who died were aged between 59 and 97 years. Seven of them were unvaccinated, one was partially vaccinated and five were fully vaccinated. All of them had various underlying medical conditions. MOH did not specify what these conditions were.
This brings Singapore's death toll from the coronavirus to 294.
The number of new cases is an increase from the 3,439 new cases reported on Thursday.
Among them, 3,631 infections are locally transmitted, comprising 3,039 in the community and 592 in migrant workers' dormitories.
Six are imported cases, MOH said in its daily update released to media at about 10.45pm.

Anyone ever wondered why despite all the awareness about Covid and daily cases reported, there is always at least one more person who will let their guard down?
Or do we have a group of population who genuinely doesnt give a damn about covid.
How is it possible everyday 3,000+.

Should be faster as many asymptomatic and ART tested and not reported. Question is how many times more already kena

Home recovery, self test in SG don't actually work honestly and this is why Add more cases. MOH claim Only just 10percent so call doing home recovery and infected the rest of the family BUT Mind you don't forget, their family members get infected don't know go out , like talk to neighbours etc this already aiding the spread annoymous to public.
come ART self test also " subjective " IF you are testing yourself , maybe test wrongly in fact MOST will not do unless If needed
The infection rates seems to hover around 3500 regions but the death rates are climbing. I doubt the number of infections will see a drop any time soon.
The question will be how many of these 3000 plus infections are recurring cases? If an individual has been infected before and can they get re-infected again and would this be of a concern? If not and why not?

To be optimistic the infection numbers should fall, cos our garment implemented the 2 to dine in, and showing of vacc. certs at shopping malls, F&B outlets, hawker centers, restaurants and coffee shops. But I am just puzzled why there are so many deaths...and keeps on rising every day......

Good question. This could also mean long covid is a concern.
3k daily seems to be the new norm for our population size and density. But the rising deaths should flatten with time.

There must be a way to reduce the number of infections, only thing is that the MIW who are highly remunerated should put their heads together and brain storm how best to tackle this pandemic.....

I begged to differ on the optimism and the government temporary measures seems questionable now.
With daily 3000 over or climbing infected rates been around for the past two weeks or more. Especially having open up the border continues to bring in the virus on one hand while telling people to stay indoors in another.
That leaves the most concerning matter with the climbing death rates….especially with the vaccinated death rates are climbing too. Which now bring to question are these vaccines effective?
There should be detailed information on these vaccinated death, whether these deaths were caused by the vaccination or due to the virus.
As a responsible government they should released such information to the public to allow the people to make their decisions….or draw their own conclusions. Surely the government has all these information but we do not have the privilege to access to that.
We are answerable to our lives but these decisions are taken away or are now made on our behalf by a small group of people who manages this country. Worse of all this group of people does not held any accountability and responsibility, it’s equivalent to passing a death sentence on some of the people…that to me is unfair.
