He had to degrade the to sell to Chinese.
Nvidia is like decades ahead of all China chip makers who have not even produces an outdated 586 equivalent chip.
I am not saying China is far behun on everything...in EV battery and self driving they have pulled ahead.
But when it comes to chips there are big gaps...US knows this that's why the sanctions.

China is an important buyer of chips.
The US will not cut all chips they will make sure China get 2 generation older chips....
