He may not have made so many mistakes as other MPs not because he is good but rather his role in the last 10 Years was merely deputy PM without any specific portfolio.
Even if he is suitable to be a MP, it does not mean he will be suitable as a PM. Will he come out every month with policies or activities to unify Singapore?
On the whole, give him a chance. Though, it is a risk for some groups of people and a 5 years period or risk.
