To find out whether he will be the same as the old president.
Ask him if Keppel-gate and Ridout-gate happened during his terms
would he intervene and call for a COI?

Yes I second this!
As a Singaporean I would like to know if he will protect Singapore's reserves and reputation too!
Or..., will he just be another milo rubber stamping PAP selected president working under same boss lah!

I am.very troubled if elected he will be the 5th president in a row that is a former PAP member.

This is not right.

If given the chance to vote, I will definitely vote to fix this.
Any body can just take on this role.
Just attend functions,  shake hands, carry babies, attend charity shows etc.

Absolutely non executive/ political position.
If a Milo machik can do it, any one else also can.
Don't need a high ranking person really.

Correct, it is a ceremonial post which is totally a no brainer job. No need to waste time analysing and arguing on the candidates' capability or what he can do for you. This position got no executive power and cannot do anything for you.  Rolleyes
Sinkiepoor is the laughing stock of ASEAN

Everyone is laughing at us and its PAP's fault!!
Since when did the “ownself check ownself” outcome had any positive result for our country.
It’s just ugly and dirty.

Indeed, the mother of all OCO (Ownself Check Ownself)
One is not enough. Seems like another MP Tan CJ in the making.
"The WHO itself is gravely underfunded for the
critical roles it performs. We have to step up and sustain financing in peacetime.
The HLIP’s proposals, when they come in July, will not just be about financing, but how we govern
financing. We do need to scale up financing, but governance is key to ensuring effectiveness, and
ensuring countries are willing to sustain funding for global public goods.
We must be bold, and we must also be pragmatic. But we can really do much, much better." https://pandemic-financing.org/wp-conten...-FMCBG.pdf

I stated before the last PE that Tharman is too politically aligned with the ruling party to ever question them.  Why would this President risk his $1.54 million annual salary to speak up for the man-in-the-street S'porean?
now we have:

#part-timePresident#
his WEF friends give him tickets how?
Not Daft but still Dumb. No wonder others progressing not just faster but better than us.
70% majority voted for it.
